Give A Kid A Lift Grant Cycle
2024 Give A Kid A Lift Grant Applications Are Now Closed.
This Field of Interest fund at the Taos Community Foundation was established specifically to enable children who may have financial barriers to experience outdoor recreation in the mountains.
Funds may be used for program and operational support to give children in Taos and Colfax counties the ability to experience outdoor recreation, through skiing and snowboarding, hiking, rafting, snowshoeing, and more.
Awards generally range from $2,000 to $4,000.
The deadline to apply for the 2025 Give a Kid a Lift Grant will be announced at a later date.
You are eligible to apply if you meet the following criteria:
- Eligible organizations must serve youth in the Taos or Colfax County area providing outdoor recreational activities that take place in the mountains and/or in nature.
- Eligible organizations must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, are a public or governmental agency, a school, a federally recognized tribe in the State of New Mexico, or have a fiscal sponsor.
- Eligible organizations must engage staff or volunteers and provide services without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or sexual orientation.
- Eligible organizations must be current with all State and Federal reporting requirements, as applicable. Organizations must be in good standing with the IRS, NM Secretary of State, and NM Attorney General.
