Shared Table Food Pantry Fund
"Providing healthy food and genuine compassion to neighbors in need."
New Mexico has a high poverty rate, low wages, high cost of living and ranks the third poorest state in the country. With high rates of food insecurity, our communities suffer from nutrition-related chronic conditions, including obesity and diabetes. Shared Table is a ministry of El Pueblito United Methodist Church that seeks to address these problems through their food distribution program.
Shared Table’s Mission:
“To provide healthy food and genuine compassion to neighbors in need.”
Shared Table’s Vision:
“A Taos County where everyone has enough to eat and access to nutritious food.”
Food distributions happen on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at El Pueblito UMC in El Prado, and at the Tapla Community Center in Tapla.
Additional Support:
Through special grants, they can also offer diapers to parents, grandparents, and local high school programs in need.
