Holy Cross Hospital

Holy Cross Hospital, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), formed in 1936, while America was in the midst of its greatest economic disaster and Taos socialite, Mabel Dodge Luhan, saw that her community desperately needed a proper hospital. She donated a house on La Posta Road and it was named Holy Cross Hospital by The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, who ran the hospital for nearly twenty-five years.
While initially small and with limited services, the hospital established a standard of excellence in care and community outreach that has never wavered.
Holy Cross Hospital and clinics are home to over 80 physicians, covering a variety of ever-expanding specialties that include internal medicine, wound care, dermatology, ob/gyn, orthopedics, general surgery, urology and a fully-staffed emergency department.

In order to make a bequest, you should speak with your attorney. Your attorney can help you include a bequest to Taos Community Foundation in your estate plan, and we would be happy to work with you and your attorney to help you identify ways to give that will ensure your charitable objectives are met. We will also work with you and your attorney to craft language to accomplish your objectives, but have provided some basic bequest language to get you started.
