This annual competitive grant cycle addresses key needs in our community, including animal welfare, arts & culture, basic needs, community advocacy, environmental sustainability, health, education, and youth. This grant cycle provides both project funding and core operational support to local non-profits in Taos and western Colfax county.

Applications for the 2026 TCF Impact Grant Cycle will be open on February 3rd, 2026 and close on April 1st, 2026 .

Our largest annual grant cycle addresses key needs in our community, providing both project funding and core operational support to local nonprofit organizations in Taos and western Colfax county.

A few key reminders for this year’s grant cycle:

Eligible organizations and fiscally sponsored projects working and providing services in the Taos and western Colfax counties are eligible to apply if they meet the following criteria:

  • Tax-exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, are a public or governmental agency or a federally recognized tribe in the State of
New Mexico, or have an eligible fiscal sponsor.
  • Employ staff and/or volunteers, and provide services without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • Are current with all State and Federal reporting requirements and are in good standing with the IRS, NM Secretary of State, and NM Attorney General.

Applications open on February 3rd, 2026 at 8:00 AM.

Applications close on April 1st, 2026 at 5:00PM.

Late applications will not be accepted.

Awards will generally range from $2,000 to $5,000.

Applications are reviewed and scored by a thoughtful, unbiased group of community volunteers who consider current community needs, nonprofit capacity, existing efforts, sustainability of funding, and opportunities for collaboration. Eligible applicants will also be included in the TCF Spring Grant Catalog, which will be shared with local donors to spotlight the amazing work happening in our region.

Applicants will be notified of funding decisions by the end of May. Grants will be awarded on June 11th at our annual Impact Grants ceremony at the Taos Country Club.
