For over 10 years, Agriculture Implementation Research & Education (AIRE), has connected Taos County’s students with local food in the garden, classroom, cafeteria and community while supporting our farmers and ranchers, cultivating a sustainable economy, and restoring local land.
Their programs include agricultural educational presentations and programs; research in and demonstration of innovative agricultural management for resiliency in times of climate change and drought; and media production projects for inspiration and education.
Based in Taos, New Mexico; they continue the age-old agricultural traditions around resilient agriculture, acequia irrigation and maintenance, and traditional knowledge systems including the management and use of wild plants for food and medicine and other traditional seasonal land-based activities. AIRE strives to create the conditions for community food sufficiency and the improvement of physical and spiritual well-being.

In order to make a bequest, you should speak with your attorney. Your attorney can help you include a bequest to Taos Community Foundation in your estate plan, and we would be happy to work with you and your attorney to help you identify ways to give that will ensure your charitable objectives are met. We will also work with you and your attorney to craft language to accomplish your objectives, but have provided some basic bequest language to get you started.
