We are extremely pleased to announce that Lisa O’Brien has accepted the position as Executive Director of the Taos Community Foundation. Lisa has served as the Grants Director of the Foundation since 2005 and also as Interim Executive Director since the retirement of Elizabeth Crittenden Palacios at the end of June.
As Grants Director, Lisa has streamlined the granting process, has created a strong review process for grant and scholarship applications, utilizing numerous community volunteers as grant advisors, and has participated in countless local and statewide conversations representing the needs of the Taos community. In this past fiscal year, the Foundation’s grant award total was over $750,000. Lisa has risen above and beyond the call of duty in performing the tasks of the Interim Executive Director while continuing to administer the grants process and smoothly transitioning the leadership of the Foundation.
The Board of Directors of the Foundation is looking forward to working with Lisa to implement strategic plans for the growth of the Foundation focusing on community impact, donor value and sustainability. Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Lisa as our new Executive Director.
