Special Projects

Fiscal sponsorship is a common mechanism used in the nonprofit sector that enables individuals and groups to start a new program without establishing a new, separate nonprofit organization. They fiscally sponsored projects receive the charitable status from their fiscal sponsor, often thru a contractual agreement, and typically for a short-term period of time.

Fiscally sponsored projects of the Foundation are not separate and isolated entitites, rather, they are an integral part of the Foundation and receive administrative, financial and supportive services to help foster the project into its next step, which may be the establishment of a new organization, or to see a time-limited project to completion. Special Projects are considered by the Foundation on a case-by-case basis, and upon a formal application being reviewed.
