Special Projects

TCF is determined to meet the most pressing needs of the community through ongoing Special Projects and discussions:

KIDS Clothing Project facilitates donations of new apparel, shoes, toys and children’s merchandise to children throughout our community.

Unidos Funders Allied with Youth provides access to health care and education about reproduction and to support teen pregnancy prevention efforts.

Healthcare Collaborative is a community-based partnership developed to ensure access to health care for children and families in the Taos and surrounding areas.

Bring the Pieces Together is facilitating discussion on strengthening community efforts and resources to enhance the health and well being of our communities residents.

Closing the Taos Food Gap. Through this we will assess our local food system, looking for ways to make it stronger and more efficient. We will identify solutions to food insecurity and how to increase and improve services.

Youth in Philanthropy (YAC) youth grant makers, ages 15-18, who participate in all aspects of the grant making process, from identifying important youth concerns in our community to recommending grants to non-profit organizations that address youth issues.

Beef Project. In order for our community to have a thorough overview of the market TCF funded a study, now complete, to determined the area and size of the market, and demonstrate the structure needed to further develop and invest in a grass-fed beef industry for northern New Mexico.

Community Forums and Technical Assistance.
Our technical assistance efforts aim to strengthen the social capital of our community by bringing meaningful and educational workshops and making them available to the community for no charge.
