Scholarship Funds

Education is a key to empowerment and understanding. Because of globalization, it is important for our youth to be able to work across the boundaries of community, region, and nation. Scholarships are given to qualified students attending two and four-year educational institutions.

Orrie Friedman Scholarship Fund was set up in response to the joy and good service that Orrie Friedman and his family received during the years they skied in Taos.  The four year scholarships, totaling $4,000, are awarded to students who maintain a 3.0 scholastic average whose families have worked at Taos Ski Valley.

Youth In Philanthropy Scholarship Fund honors leadership and civic engagement. This is a $500 award given to students that participate for three years in the Youth Grantmaking Initiative at TCF.

Ernie Blake Memorial Scholarship Fund was set up in remembrance of the founder of Taos Ski Valley. The four year scholarships, totaling $2,000, are awarded to students who maintain a 3.0 scholastic average whose families have worked at Taos Ski Valley.
