For Donors: Types of Funds: Plaza de Legado Society

The Legacy Society of Taos Community Foundation was created to recognize and honor the heritage and legacy of a vision for community. Our Legacy Society recognizes those who have made a gift to the Community Foundation in their will or estate and are willing to make the commitment publicly as inspiration to others. We thank them for their generosity and commitment to the future of Taos and western Colfax Counties.

Each family has its own heritage of values, goals, and experiences. Constant, yet continually evolving, this heritage forms the basis for family legacy. Many families plan ways to pass on a legacy that perpetuates their vision of community.

You can join us:
We welcome new members to Plaza de Legado. Please call us if you are considering a bequest to a favorite cause. You may want to create an endowment at the community Foundation to carry out your wishes into perpetuity. We will be happy to assist you, there is no obligation.

Constancy of Purpose
An individual may have an area of passion perhaps animal rights. Annually they may fund their favorite charity. Endowing a fund that focuses on animal rights insures that grants will always go to support animals even if the original charity is no longer in service. TCF will select another group that works within the mission parameters of the original charity.

Where there is a will there is a way.
If you are considering including the Taos Community Foundation in your will, we can assist you and/or your advisor with language and suggestions for structuring your bequest.
