This partnership has resulted in the development of a component fund entitled The Red River Community Foundation. The Foundation was established to provide ongoing funding to the many and diverse charitable activities in Red River and surrounding area. The new Foundation offers area residents, whom share a common value of caring for and improving the quality of life in the community of Red River, while also allowing the opportunity to make philanthropic giving as easy and effective as possible.

Individuals, families, businesses and organizations can make contributions to the Foundation for the purpose of building a permanent endowment that will help the region meet the challenges of changing times. These funds will be invested and distributions will be used to award grants to many of the humanitarian, educational, and cultural organizations in the remarkable community of Red River which many call home. As a component fund of Taos Community Foundation, the Red River Community Foundation provides all the benefits of a public charity and is compliant with rigorous National Standards.
